TICKETS

Q: Can I purchase pit passes?

A: Dover International Speedway does not sell pit passes to the public. Pit passes are reserved for NASCAR-licensed competitors and officials, safety workers, Speedway employees, accredited members of the press and sponsors.

Because we are a one-mile track, with a permanent harness race track (Dover Downs Raceway) inside the motorsports track, we have limited space. Our garages and pit roads are very tight, and there isn't much room for fans to congregate. To allow the crews to do their jobs, NASCAR asks that we limit access to the pits and garage.

We do, however, offer trackside tours through our Sunday "Monster Mile Club." This add-on hospitality package provides food and drink, live entertainment, a limited-edition souvenir, an official race program, interactive games, music and an appearance by a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver. A trackside tour is also part of the package, which can be purchased by clicking here, or by calling 800-441-RACE.

Q: Can I purchase tickets to the Monster Bridge?

A: We are glad you like the Monster Bridge -- it's a project we are thrilled about!

Tickets for the Monster Bridge are not for sale. Because there are only 56 seats available, the demand for these seats far outweighs the supply. To be fair to everyone, we have decided to not offer the seats for sale to avoid a bidding war. We are, however, working with our sponsors and partners to use seats in the Monster Bridge as prizes for contests and promotions. This way, by winning a contest, giveaway, etc., orchestrated by our sponsors, fans will have the opportunity to watch a race from "the most exciting seat in sports."

Feel free to check the www.DoverSpeedway.com website from time to time for contests and promotions to win seats in the Monster Bridge.

Q: Can I buy tickets anywhere else but Dover International Speedway?

A: Tickets can be purchased in person at the Dover International Speedway ticket office; online at www.DoverSpeedway.com; by phone at 800-441-RACE; or by fax to 302-672-0100. We only recommend purchasing tickets directly from Dover International Speedway. Tickets for our entire race weekend are typically available even on the day of the event through the Dover International Speedway ticket office.

Tickets may also be purchased at any Shore Stop convenience store located in Delaware, Maryland or Virginia for a $5 discount. Tickets available for sale at Shore Stop stores include: adult general admission NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series tickets; general admission NASCAR Nationwide Series tickets; and general admission NASCAR Camping World Series tickets. The "Take a Kid to the Races" package is also available for purchase at Shore Stop stores.

Tickets may not be resold for more than their face value. It is the Speedway's policy to cancel all renewal privileges of any purchaser of a ticket found to have been resold at a price greater than face value. You may not resell a ticket at all if you are on property owned, leased or operated by Dover International Speedway or within one hundred (100) yards of such property. If you purchase a ticket that was lost, stolen or counterfeit, the Speedway will not honor it.

Q: What happens if there is a weather delay or postponement?

A: The racing schedules are determined by NASCAR and Dover International Speedway. In the event of a delay or postponement due to severe or unusual weather, all admission tickets will be honored on the rescheduled race day. All ticket sales are final; sorry, no refunds.

Q: Are the ticket prices the same for children?

A:Thursday (May 28 and Sept. 24, 2009) - Children under 12 are $ 3 for general admission. (Admission is free on Thursday of race weekend with the purchase of a Friday race ticket for both adults and children).

Friday (May 29 and Sept. 25, 2009) - Children under 12 are $ 6 for general admission. All children, regardless of age, pay full price for reserved seating.

Saturday (May 30 and Sept. 26, 2009) - Children under 12 are $8 for general admission. All children, regardless of age, pay full price for reserved seating.

Sunday (May 31 and Sept. 27, 2009) - All children, regardless of age, must pay full price to enter the reserved grandstands.

Q: If my child sits on my lap, do they still need a ticket?

A: Yes. Everyone entering through Dover International Speedway's grandstand gates must have a ticket, regardless of age.

Q: Does Dover offer any grandstand seating exclusively for families, free of alcohol and tobacco?

A: The Family Seating Section at Dover International Speedway provides families with an enjoyable alcohol- and tobacco-free environment to experience the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. For 2009, due to popular demand, the Family Seating Section has been expanded and moved to rows 1-30 in section 192. This section is located in Turn 2 at the Monster Mile. A: Parking on Speedway grounds for Friday and Saturday is free. There is a $10 charge for parking on Speedway grounds on Sunday. Dover International Speedway has several parking areas available: the main entrance with lots labeled South, North and West (enter main entrance off Route 13); Lot 1 which is located on Leipsic Road (outside of Turn 4); and Lot 12 (located about 1/2 mile from the track). Local businesses also park cars for the race and determine their own rates.

Q: What shuttle services are available on race weekend?

A: We recommend taking advantage of the park-and-ride shuttles. Please note that these shuttle services are only available on Sunday of race weekend.

From the Blue Hen Corporate Center on U.S. Route 113 in Dover:

Located three miles south of the Speedway, the cost is $20 per car. The one-time $20 fee includes parking and round-trip bus service for everyone in your vehicle. The trip takes approximately 12 minutes each way. The shuttle drops and picks you up at the track within easy walking distance of the grandstands. Service begins at 8 a.m. and runs until one hour after the race.

From the Christiana Mall off of Route 1 in Christiana:

Board the “Race Express” park-n-ride shuttle and ride directly to Dover International Speedway. Service begins at 7 a.m. and costs $12 per person. This $12 fee includes parking and round trip bus service (exact change required). Children under 46" ride free. There are 800 seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call Gregg Bus Service at (302) 993-7855.

If you are transporting someone with a disability, their hang tag must be displayed on your vehicle (provided the owner of the tag is being transported). The vehicle will be directed to the closest disabled parking lot. If anyone requires assistance to the grandstand, each disabled lot has a designated pick-up point.

Please note that the person with the disability (to whom the plate or hang tag was issued) must be the driver of, or passenger in, the vehicle when the vehicle is parked in parking areas for persons with disabilities.

Q: Are there specific parking spots intended for motorcycles or scooters only?

A: Dover International Speedway does not allocate specific parking spots to motorcycle or scooter operators. However, you are free to park those vehicles in the general parking lots. The cost for parking does not differentiate between vehicles.

Q: What exit should I use from Route 1 to get to Dover International Speedway on Sunday of race weekend?

A: FROM THE NORTH:

On Sunday of race weekend, as the parking lot accessible via the main entrance to the property fills to capacity, exit 104 off of Route 1 is closed.

Traffic is then rerouted 5.3 miles South to Exit 95 (S. Dover, Dover Air Force Base). Temporary directional signs on Route 1 will provide additional guidance. Once exiting Route 1 at Exit 95, motorists may use the Park-n-Ride at the Blue Hen Corporate Center, or proceed straight on Route 13 North to Lot No. 1. Lot No. 1 is located on your right, at Jefferic Blvd (past the K-Mart store). Signage will direct you into this lot.

Note: For those coming from the North that wish to avoid the possible closing of Exit 104 on Sunday morning, Exit 119A (Smyrna) or Exit 114 (S. Smyrna) may be used. Proceed down Route 13 South and follow signs for Dover International Speedway.
